You will play a key role in developing and delivering our environmental management programmes for beaches and parks, including Scotland’s Beach Award and Green Flag Award for parks and greenspaces. Keep Scotland Beautiful is the charity that campaigns, acts and educates on a range of local, national and global environmental issues to change behaviour and improve the quality of people’s lives and the places they care for. We are committed to making Scotland clean, green and more sustainable.
Our environmental management programmes for beaches and parks, aim to offer support, networking and recognition for excellent standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of Scotland’s Beach Award and the internationally recognised Green Flag Award for parks and green spaces.
Our ideal candidate will be passionate about driving up the standard of beaches and parks in Scotland, by offering support to a wide range of applicants, from local authorities, to community groups. The successful candidate will have experience in managing a suite of complex projects with the ability to create, maintain and enhance working partnerships. Experience of coordinating and supporting skilled volunteers is essential. An understanding of current environmental issues and policies relating to beach and greenspace management is desirable.
The post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure Scotland (PVG) check.
