We are looking for a Project Worker who is passionate about protecting children, with a strong value base and personal resilience. We seek a Project Worker who will put Children first but also be mindful and respectful of families.

At Children 1st we work with the whole family and we are looking for a Project Worker who is compassionate, skilled and experienced in the whole family systems approach.

You will have a sound knowledge of the impact of trauma and adversity on parenting and on children.

You will have a lead role within the team in the assessment of children and families and creating meaningful plans of work that promote children’s safety and wellbeing.

Your practice will be underpinned by children’s rights will offer practical and emotional supports to families, doing whatever it takes in all the complexity to engage with families to build on their strengths and capacity.

You will be skilled in building strong relationships with children, families and partners and a strong ambassador for Children 1st.

In turn you will join a relational, connected organisation that prioritises quality and supports its workforce to deliver this through strong relationships, as we realise this is what makes the biggest difference to children and families.

If you have suitable experience of working with children and their families and have a professional qualification in a relevant area such as Social Work, Teaching, Child Care/Social Care or related area, accredited counselling qualification, or other relevant qualification at SCQF level 9 or higher then we want to hear from you.

This is a fixed term post of up to 35 hours per week (flexibility around hours), initially funded until 31 March 2020. Hours to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the service.
