An experience project administrator with a commitment to tackling climate change is sought to support an area-based environmental programme currently based in Peebles. You will be working with the local community to deliver an integrated programme of Changeworks activities to pilot an area-based approach to promote low carbon living and working and tackling fuel poverty. The initial focus of the programme will be to deliver an energy efficiency and demand reduction programme – part of the Scottish Borders Council delivery of Energy Efficiency Scotland. This could be expanded to include a range of other activities including waste prevention and transport. Travel across the Scottish Borders region may be necessary as well as some travel to the head office in Edinburgh.
This post is equivalent to one full time post of 35 hours per week and you will be expected to work some weekends dependant on business needs and other out of hours work at events with time off in lieu. We would also welcome applications for part-time/job share positions (17.5 hours per week, covering mornings, afternoons or 2.5 full days).
