We are a dynamic and forward looking charity. We respond to the social isolation regularly reported and experienced by people with disabilities looking for opportunities to find friendship and love in adult relationships. We run events, develop courses, and create other opportunities that enable social connection and personal development. We use a mentoring and coaching approach to encourage adults with disabilities to self-reflect, take responsibility for their own actions and to lead their own lives.
This exciting new role of Director will be responsible for the promotion and development of get2gether. Reporting to the Trustees, they will lead and manage the staff and volunteer team, develop the organisational plan and activities, develop and implement a strategy for income generation, manage the operational budgets and ensure reporting obligations are met.
For this role you will need to be a highly organised and ambitious collaborator, able to work under pressure to deadlines whilst motivating those around you. If you have a commitment to promoting the inclusion of people with learning and other disabilities and believe you have the skills to lead get2gether into the future, we would love to hear from you.
Initially funded for 2 years and working 35 hours per week.
