Wellbeing Service Advisor

Mental health has been significantly affected during the pandemic. As well as the general public, staff and volunteers in the third sector are themselves under intense pressure, managing their own mental health and supporting their service users.

GCVS will support the mental wellbeing of staff and volunteers by providing advice and training to third sector organisations throughout Glasgow – including ensuring their people feel safe at work.

The Wellbeing Service Advisor will support the launch and development of this new service on a part time basis.

As a Wellbeing Service Advisor, you will use your, experience, qualifications, knowledge and skills to promote the mental and physical wellbeing of staff and volunteers within the third sector across Glasgow. You will ensure employers are aware of their obligations to comply with legislation whilst supporting the fair, consistent and transparent approach to people management. Compliance with legal and moral obligations is paramount to physical and mental wellbeing.

The successful candidate: You will have robust understanding of the impact of the pandemic and how it has affected people. You will have demonstrable understanding how stress and working under excess pressure for a prolonged period may affect people and evidence of a holistic approach to wellbeing. Experience and success in building relationships and working collaboratively with a range of partners is also essential.
