PAS (pas.org.uk), Scotland’s leading place and active citizenship charity, is looking for an Operations Manager who will be responsible for ensuring integration and co-ordination across PAS and developing the organisation’s delivery of services in collaboration with the Chief Executive, and other members of the management team.
This position's primary responsibility is ensuring operational effectiveness and quality of delivery, contributing to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, political engagement, policies and practices.
The Scottish Government provides funding for PAS to deliver the free advice service which gives communities, individuals and community groups access to information and advice on the Scottish planning system; and supports communities in development and place-based planning.
In addition, we provide skills training and support for community groups, planners, elected members and public bodies, as well as to seldom-heard groups who often cannot readily engage in the planning system. In particular, we support community organisations to develop and deliver their own aspirations for place through local place plans.
We anticipate filling this as a full-time post (35 hours) but are willing to consider alternative arrangements for the right candidate. PAS provides a generous holiday entitlement (25 days + 10 public holidays + 3 days Christmas office closure), flexi-time and an employer’s pension contribution of 8.5%. The salary will be in the range £35,641 - £40,922.
PAS has an office in Edinburgh city centre (not fully accessible) although all staff are currently working from home. It is anticipated that future working arrangements will be a blend of home and office working.
PAS is an equal opportunities employer. Please contact us if you would like to discuss any additional support needs.
Please send your completed application and monitoring forms to Jenny Pendreigh, Support Services Manager, email@example.com by 23.59 on 23rd June.
Interviews will be held by Zoom on Tuesday 29 June.
