Role

Our Options Residential Fife service is a full-time, residential care home offering long-term residential care for children and young people with complex learning and physical disabilities. We provide quality living for those children and young people who can no longer live at home.

We are looking for 2 part time Young People’s Workers, each working 24.5 hours per week, to become part of our family. One post is offered on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave (until the end of March 2022), and the other is a permanent contract.

At Aberlour we feel that every child has the right to flourish and is at the heart of everything we do. As a Young People’s Worker, you will play a fundamental role in ensuring that our young people are working towards their goals. Not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewarding role. You will provide enabling support to ensure the highest level of physical, personal and emotional care to support our young people with different daily activities. These activities can include college, different hobbies and attending fun groups - each of our young people has a developed plan that helps them achieve their goals.

You will become part of a highly skilled and experienced team and will have a supported induction programme, with access to an extensive training programme which includes CALM training, Child Protection and Fire Safety.

This service operates a residential rota and as part of this, you will be expected to work evenings, weekends, nights and public holidays.

Please see the ‘Person Specification’ document included with this advert on our website for further details on preferred qualifications and experience.
