Capability Scotland is a well-established and respected provider of community-based facilitation services throughout Dumfries and Galloway which support people to engage in employment, education, volunteering and activities of their choice in their communities. This is an exciting time for us as we have the opportunity to deliver a number of other well-established services throughout the Region including

  • A community-based Facilitation Service for adults with a physical disability
  • Self-Directed Support Brokerage Service
  • A building based Rehabilitation and Support Service for adults with an acquired brain injury
  • A community-based service for Children & Family Outreach Service who have an acquired brain injury

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Link Practitioner to join our Self Directed Support Brokerage Service. You will provide support to individuals who are in receipt of a Direct Payment award to implement their agree Self Directed Support Plan, this will include assistance with recruitment and managing their relationship with their Personal Assistants and ongoing support to individuals to review their plan and make changes where necessary. You will be an advocate of Self-Directed Support and will raise awareness of Self-Directed Support and of the Brokerage amongst potential recipients, other professionals and the general public. The role will require you to nurture the service to allow for ongoing growth.

We are looking for someone who is keen to implement national policy into practice at a local level, keen to implement innovation while maintaining a positive environment and high-quality service.
