Bike for Good is seeking an experienced Health and Wellbeing Cycling Practitioner to join our award-winning team and help us change lives through cycling!

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our social prescribing for cycling programme in partnership with Alliance Scotland and their network of Community Links Practitioners. This will aid Bike for Good to achieve our vision, mission and values. The Practitioner will focus on improving the health and wellbeing of the service users by achieving the following outcomes:

  1. Reduced isolation of participants through the provision of regular 1:1 cycling sessions in a welcoming community environment.
  2. Improved physical health of participants through bicycle access and led rides around the city that increase in length week on week.
  3. Improved mental health of participants through the provision of health improvement cycling sessions that show them new green spaces in the city and how to connect up local services by bike
  4. Improved confidence of participants through weekly cycle training sessions that work on building their skills.

We are looking for someone who is inspired to make a difference to others and the local community. Candidates should be passionate about increasing the number of people who choose to cycle as their main mode of travel and raising awareness of the benefits of cycling. Candidates should be inspired to share their skills with service users of the community links programme in order to improve their quality of life.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering community cycling activities and will have experience of working with vulnerable adults.

A one year contract is available thanks to funding from the Smarter Choices Smarter Places (SCSP) Open Fun, distributed by Paths for All.
