About the Role:

Are you interested in joining an award-winning Scottish charity whose aim is to provide support to people whose lives are affected by mental welfare problems or illness? Support in Mind Scotland have an exciting opportunity in a new Suicide Bereavement Support Service for someone with a passion for making an impact in this key area of community support.

Support in Mind Scotland, in partnership with Penumbra, has been selected by the Scottish Government to lead an innovative project in the Highlands and in Ayrshire and Arran supporting people who have been bereaved by the suicide of a family member. The service will take referrals from a wide range sources including, community groups, statutory third sector agencies, as well as self-referral.

Your role as Suicide Bereavement Support Practitioner will be primarily focussed on the Highland area but will also give you opportunities to support people in Ayrshire and Arran. You will work as part of a dynamic and creative, joint-agency team that includes colleagues from Support in Mind Scotland and Penumbra. The role offers a chance to contribute to a service that will provide vital support and potentially save lives.
