Role

AdvoCard is a well-established and highly regarded advocacy organisation in Edinburgh. Primarily providing independent advocacy to individuals affected by mental ill-health and/or problematic substance use, we work individually and collectively with a range of advocacy partners to ensure their voices are heard and their rights upheld.

We are looking to recruit 4 workers who will provide advocacy across Edinburgh. The posts are based in the community but may also involve working in the Royal Edinburgh Hospital when needed.

Advocacy Worker (OutReach)

3 year fixed term contract

1 x FT post - 36.25 hours per week

Starting salary £23781, rising to £26325

Advocacy Worker ( Welfare Reform)

Two year rolling contract

1 x PT Post 24 hours per week

Starting salary £23,781, rising to £26,325 ( pro rata)

Advocacy Worker ( Problematic Substance Use)

1 year fixed term contract

1 x PT post 18 hours per week

Starting salary £23,781, rising to £26,325 ( pro rata)

Lived experience of problematic substance use is desirable for this post.

Advocacy Project Worker ( Problematic Substance Use)

1 year fixed term contract

1 x PT 18 hours per week

Starting salary £23,781, rising to £26,325 ( pro rata)
