Post 1: Assistant, Children’s Health and Wellbeing Services (CHWBS)

Post 2: Assistant, Care Experienced Children and Young People’s Service (CECYPS)

There are two exciting opportunities to join Children’s Health Scotland, a charity that helps children and young people meet their healthcare needs in partnership with parents, carers and professionals.

We’re looking for two people with excellent organisational, communication and administrative skills who have a passion for working with children, young people, families and carers. Working within busy and friendly teams, you will be an experienced assistant with excellent IT skills. Your role is to support your team to deliver our services which support the health and wellbeing of children, young people, families and carers. You will be experienced working with Microsoft Office packages including Microsoft Teams, Word and Excel, and be able to create spreadsheets and deal with numerical information.

Key duties include:

CHWBS post

• Assisting with the promotion of the CHWBS and more specifically, the Self-Management Service (SMS) e.g. attending workshops, dissemination of information materials, attending events, promotion via social media, and engaging with health professionals and families.

• Assisting in identifying and preparing children and young people to take part in the SMS and providing support throughout the Programme.

• Assisting in the preparation, set up and delivery of face-to-face workshops and online group sessions as part of SMS Programmes.

• Publication of content on our website as directed by your manager and assisting with posts on our social media channels.

• Maintaining systems for office supplies, record keeping and filing

CECYPS post

• Assisting with the delivery and promotion of the CECYPS e.g. attending workshops, dissemination of information materials, attending events, promotion via social media, and engaging with health professionals and families.

• Participation in referral meetings for Foster and Kinship Care workshops.

• Assisting in identifying and preparing children, young people, families and carers to take part in CECYPS and providing support throughout the programme.

• Assisting in the preparation, set up and delivery of face-to-face workshops and online group sessions for Foster and Kinship Carers.

• Publication of content on our website as directed by your manager and assisting with posts on our social media channels.

• Maintaining systems for office supplies, record keeping and filing
