EDICT is looking for a sessional Arts Worker to support the delivery of their Autism Spectrum sessions at the studio space in Bishopbriggs.
As a key support service EDICT is delivering in person sessions at the studio in Bishopbriggs. As such we would expect any staff to uptake the Covid vaccine, to ensure the safety of all staff and participants.
The role of ASD Arts Worker is to provide practical and creative support to the children and young people taking part in EDICT’s autism hub support sessions.
The successful candidates will be experienced in working with children and young people, community art work and have working knowledge of supporting those on the autism spectrum.
Qualifications & experience
Appropriate Art related qualification, knowledge of Autism and experience of group work in a community art setting.
Main duties
The sessional arts worker will be line managed by an EDICT full time staff member.
The arts worker will be subject to a PVG check as they will be working with a vulnerable group.
Reports to:Project Manager
Hours:Sessional work. Session take place over four evenings Monday-Thursday. We are hoping to extend the provision and hours may be increased. In the first instance the weekly hours required will be ten - session delivery and preparation/clean up.
