An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Edinburgh Support Service for a Team Leader based in the Leith area of Edinburgh. Our services deliver extremely high quality support to a wide variety of people in the community and their own homes, supporting individuals to realize their potential, become more resilient and improve their quality of life. The Team Leader will provide direction and guidance to a team of support workers delivering direct support across Edinburgh. The Team Leader will coordinate, evaluate and review this support while providing mentorship to Support Workers, and have the ability to communicate constructively and confidently with multi disciplinary agencies.
The Team Leader will also provide direct support when required. You will be required to Co-ordinate referrals, monitoring, review and exit processes for individuals using the service. Ensuring referrals are managed and responded to appropriately, and that follow-up actions are progressed as required and within agreed timescales. As part of the role you will ensure that support workers provided recovery based practical and emotional support to people referred to the service and to signpost to various resources, opportunities and activities within communities to promote choice and informed decision making. You will also provide direction, development and mentorship for support staff
We are looking for someone with the enthusiasm, passion and experience to deliver the fantastic service that SAMH is known for. We are particularly keen to hear from you if you have relevant Health and Social Care Qualifications Level 4 or be willing to undertake this and experience of working in mental health field. And have experience of being a registered manager as this will be a requirement for this post. This role will occasionally require you to work evenings and weekends, as well as participating in on-call duties.
