Tiphereth is seeking a Day Service Manager to lead our day service provision for adults with learning disabilities based in Edinburgh. As a Camphill community our work is based on the ideals of Rudolf Steiner.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior role in our community.

Operating Monday to Friday we have five projects specialising in the arts, horticulture, woodwork, environmental initiatives and social enterprises. Our Skills for Growth project supports the educational aspects of growth and development for the members who attend our services.

60+ members are supported by 30+ staff and volunteers, some of whom you will have line management responsibilities for.

You will be motivated to lead a service that creates opportunities for each member to participate in a real work setting, believing that work and education are the primary vehicles for personal growth and development.

Upholding the highest standards of care and support you will be the Registered Manager for the service. Having extensive management experience within the Health and Social Care sector and with adults with learning disabilities; you will work alongside a team of senior managers who, led by the Chief Executive Officer, have wider responsibilities for the delivery and wellbeing of the whole community and its range of residential, day service, educational and social enterprise projects, delivering positive outcomes for the members who live and work in our Camphill community.

This is a 37.5 h/week full-time post and you will be expected to be onsite during the service delivery hours Monday to Friday.

The salary for this post is £36,673 with pension and 36 days holiday per year – please note that our holidays are fixed in line with the closure times of our service.
