Due to substantial additional funding from the Health and Social Care Partnership we are excited to advertise for people to join our dedicated team supporting young carers and young adult carers across Fife.

We are looking for an creative and energetic individual, with experience of working with vulnerable children and young people in a variety of settings. The successful candidate will have great communication and organisational skills and be able to work sensitively with children and young people of all ages. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment and review of the support needs of children and young people.

The post-holder will be responsible for assisting in the identification and support of young carers in schools. The main duties will include the planning and delivery of awareness raising sessions for both pupils and school staff as well as the development of relevant support networks in school. To achieve this the post-holder will be required to form links between Fife Education Directorate and Fife Young Carers.

Reporting directly to a Team Leader, the post-holder will be part of a small team of staff and volunteers, all of whom are expected to contribute to the design and delivery of services to young carers and development of the organisation.

Own transport is essential. Hours are worked flexibly but you should expect to work some evenings and weekends on a regular basis.
