This post is an exciting opportunity to join CAPS’ Children and Young People’s Team which provides individual advocacy to children and young people who are going through the Children’s Hearings system. CAPS is the main provider of advocacy for this issue to children and young people aged 5-18 in East Lothian and Midlothian. The focus of the work is the provision of independent advocacy to support children and young people to express their views and wishes when going through the Children’s Hearings process. Experience of working with children and young people is required as well as excellent skills in communicating with them.
This post is fixed term for 12 months and will continue thereafter subject to continued funding by Scottish Government.
