Role

So why are we looking for a new Family Support Worker?

Children 1st and Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre have formed an innovative new partnership to offer residential weekends to over 100 families from across Scotland over the next 3 years. In addition, the Bide Oot team will provide outreach support to enable families to build on the benefits of the residential experience, both at home and within their local communities.

Through Bide Oot, families will have access to transformative outdoor experiences and a wide range of physical and natural assets that Scotland has to offer. Children and their parents and carers will have opportunities to build positive connections, develop their confidence and skills, make new friends, begin to recover from the impact of the pandemic and be inspired to contribute in their local communities.

As a member of the Bide Oot Team, you will work with families and staff in Services across Scotland. You will support families and staff throughout the pre-planning, residential and outreach support stages of the experience. We are looking for a dynamic, committed and compassionate professional with the ability to get alongside families and build relationships, to support them to take part in the Bide Oot experience. If you are creative, caring and have a strong commitment to supporting families, we would like to hear from you.
