SAMH is Scotland’s mental health charity. We’re here for your mental health and wellbeing providing local mental health support and always accessible information. We listen to what matters in each local community, and campaign nationally for the changes that make the big and little differences in life. Now more than ever, we need to make change happen.
At a time when mental health has never been more to the forefront of individual and social conscience, the Head of Communications and Public Affairs role is a key appointment for SAMH. We are Scotland’s national mental health charity with a trusted and powerful brand and a core mission to reach even more people of all ages who experience mental health problems.
The Head of Communications and Public Affairs will have a central role in shaping future communication and influencing strategies in support of our new strategic directions and ambitions. You will bring leadership and expertise across the full spectrum of communication disciplines with a passion for driving change and developing strategies designed to persuade, change minds and provoke action.
You will ensure effective engagement with people who experience mental health problems in order to inspire change and help make the biggest improvements in prevention, early intervention and recovery. If you share our passion and vision for a society where people are able to live their lives fully, regardless of present or past circumstances, we would be delighted to receive an application from you.
