Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity.
SAMH has represented the voice of people most affected by mental health problems in Scotland for more than 90 years.
Today, in over 60 communities we work with adults and young people providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools and further education, among others. These services together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.
SAMH is dedicated to mental health and wellbeing for all: with a vision of a society where people are able to live their lives fully, regardless of present or past circumstances.
The Individual Supporter Manager is a central role within the fundraising management team, contributing to the successful delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy.
SAMH has huge ambition for Individual Supporter fundraising, which has established a solid foundation in recent years. Understanding the needs and motivations of our supporters is crucial to delivering an outstanding service and driving significant growth.
The Individual Supporter Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of the Individual Supporter income stream and management of the associated individual supporter care programme and related staff. You will manage a first class service for supporters and potential supporters, delivering excellent care, putting their needs and motivations at the heart of our activity. You will need strong creative skills across a number of channels to help develop a fast growing programme aimed at growing our individual supporter base.
Future plans for this income stream include a concerted supporter recruitment drive, a greater focus on high net worth individuals/philanthropists and continuing to work in an integrated fashion with other disciplines in the Fundraising team.
