Our mission at Space and Broomhouse Hub is to nurture, support and inspire people, so that lives are fuller, potential is fulfilled and our communities flourish. We are a community organisation supporting local people and families in South West Edinburgh, with additional services stretching city wide.
Space’s aim of improving the mental health of support of people in South West Edinburgh is central to our involvement in the Edinburgh Thrive project. Our peer support workers draw on their lived experience of mental health challenges to play a central role in the planning and provision of quality, recovery focused support to people who access the South West Thrive Welcome Team service.
Thrive Edinburgh is an innovative programme improving the mental health and wellbeing of all citizens across Edinburgh. The South West Thrive Welcome Team brings together a collaboration of partner organisations to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the people in South West Edinburgh, to enable them to live well and fulfil their potential. This partnership is between Space & Broomhouse Hub, SAMH and the Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership, working under NHS governance.
Our organisations share a commitment to the Edinburgh Thrive values of trust, respect, collaboration, person-centeredness, innovation, and compassion. Together we deliver a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency response so that citizens receive the right help at the right time.
