We are looking for a team of passionate and experienced Project Workers to support the young people accessing our services. The role will involve working intensively with a small case load of young people to coordinate and provide emotional and practical support.

The post holder will be expected to:

As an Engagement & Assessment Worker, you will be the first point of contact for someone who comes to Crisis for help to end their homelessness. You will build relationships to identify both the strengths and support needs of the individual. You will work intensively with people to help stabilise their housing situation as well as identifying opportunities for them to access the wider Crisis service offer, including our Coaching and Strengths & Assets services, to end their homelessness for good.

About you

The successful candidate will:

• be passionate and dedicated about ending homelessness
• have a good knowledge of Scottish housing and homelessness legislation
• have a good knowledge of issues affecting homeless people, including housing, welfare issues, trauma, substance use, involvement in criminal justice services, and social isolation
• have a proven track record of successfully using coaching, IAG or psychologically informed approaches with people who have experience homelessness
• skills and experience of partnership working and networking
• be flexible and adaptable to change
• be a strong team player, able to use their own initiative and reflect on their own practice

You may have previous experience in the voluntary or statutory sector with a focus on working alongside marginalised people or groups.

The primary function of these roles is the effective management and delivery of our frontline services and development activities, leading our service team to ensure that we provide quality services and reach our key targets. These key management roles will support the Assistant Directors to implement strategy, ensuring that regulatory standards are met, and policies and procedures are implemented.
