We are a pioneering, future focussed charity, committed to improving the mental health, resilience and self-belief of young people aged 11-18 in Edinburgh.
The young people we work with are often facing trauma and may be disengaged from education. We believe in a preventative approach to supporting young people and making improvements to their mental health and sense of self that will last a lifetime.
We are looking to recruit a female therapeutic coach to work with the young women we support and to contribute to our team as we grow our service. As well as delivering 1:1 therapeutic coaching to young women, you will also support the development and delivery of our group work and training. This is an exciting time to join a growing charity during a time when our services have never been more needed.
Full training will be provided for the role, but experience of working with young women in 1:1 and group settings is a must. We would like to hear from women who share our values of providing holistic, person centred and empowering support for young people.
The ideal candidate will have a counselling or therapy qualification, or working towards this. However, if you are an experienced youth worker with an interest and commitment to working towards a counselling qualification then we will support you in developing in this area.
We are particularly interested in hearing from women who have experience of developing and delivering group work with young women, to build on the skills of our team.
Schedule 9 (Part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 permits that only women may apply for this particular role of Therapeutic Coach – Young Women.
To apply, please return the application form to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 23rd July.
