Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity.
SAMH has represented the voice of people most affected by mental health problems in Scotland for more than 90 years.
Today, in over 60 communities we work with adults and young people providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools and further education, among others. These services together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

The Changing Room ‘Extra Time’ will be working closely with football clubs across Scotland, the Changing Room helps improve the social connectedness of men in middle years (30 -64 years) using a range of activities and resources to support engagement and improve their mental health and wellbeing, reduce loneliness and social isolation.
The “Changing Room” Co-ordinator will support the design and delivery of a suite of co-produced direct interventions and a programme of activities aimed at building capacity for those attending the project, aimed specifically at improving resilience. The post holder will work with a number of football clubs to create an environment where men can feel a sense of belonging, talk openly in a safe and supported setting, leading to increased confidence and self-esteem.
In partnership The “Changing Room” Co-ordinator will support participants to increase self-management skills, opportunities to improve social connectedness of men through the delivery of a range of on and off-line activities and interventions and so enable sustained behavioural change amongst Changing Room participants.
Applications are welcome from people who have experienced mental health difficulties. A PVG check is required for this post, along with a Right to Work in the UK check. Candidates will also be required to provide proof of qualifications declared on the application form.
