Health & Safety Manager

Role

We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to deliver a proactive health and safety service across the group, by providing competent technical and legal advice to all staff in a multi-site organisation and will be responsible for developing and maintaining safety management systems.

This role is to fully contribute and actively participate in management of the overall health and safety across the organisation, including accident and incident reporting and analysis and supporting managers and staff, liaison with external organisations is required.

The role holder will provide expert advice, guidance and support to ensure that all legal obligations on health and safety are met, ensuring a safe environment and excellent quality of service for people we support and the staff who support them. The promotion of a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation which supports staff and people we support alike is required.

About You

Successful candidates must have significant experience within a Health & Safety management role and be a graduate or chartered member of IOSH.

Candidates must have up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation and experience in delivering training.

Experience of developing and implementing safe systems of work is essential, ideally within in the social care sector.
