SAMH is Scotland’s mental health charity. We’re here for your mental health and wellbeing providing local mental health support and always accessible information. We listen to what matters in each local community, and campaign nationally for the changes that make the big and little differences in life. Now more than ever, we need to make change happen.
You’ll take a lead role in a small and highly effective team, working to make sure mental health is at the top of Scotland’s political agenda following the recent Holyrood election.
You’ll undertake research and seek the views of people with lived experience of mental health problems in order to develop SAMH’s policy positions. You’ll identify opportunities for influence, building relationships with politicians and their staff at all levels and putting forward persuasive and well-informed arguments. And you’ll contribute to the wider communications and campaigning work of SAMH’s Influence and Change team.
With a background in public affairs, excellent communication skills and a detailed understanding of Scottish politics, you’ll be a confident and well-organised professional who’ll help SAMH to stand up for Scotland’s mental health.
