Role

Are you enthusiastic about making a difference in young people’s lives?

Helm’s long-term vision is a Scotland where all young people dare to dream and can make those dreams a reality. Our more immediate mission is to ensure that young people in Scotland have access to the education and training that supports them to learn. Our strategy for achieving this focuses on three key activities, which we believe, will make education, training and employment accessible and achievable for all:

  • Give Young People a Voice
  • Remove Barriers to Learning and Employment
  • Develop Education, Training and Employment Services

We have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic individual to be a key contributor to Helm’s fundraising strategy. You will play an important role in helping us significantly grow organisational income and meet the needs of young people across Tayside and beyond. The successful candidate will have a commitment to Helm’s vision, mission, ethos and values and have experience in individual, community and corporate fundraising.

Key responsibilities in the role include:

  • Develop and manage your own portfolio of individual and corporate funders, within our 2021-24 strategy, developing relationships, managing accounts and meeting agreed fundraising targets
  • Contribute to the development of future fundraising strategies, and take a key allocated role in implementing this
  • Enter data and run reports from Helm’s eTapestry CRM system, liaising closely with our Fundraising Manager and Finance and Infrastructure Manager to ensure this remains up to date and accurate at all times
  • Administer and report on individual and corporate giving, enabling us to see easily at a glance how our pipeline is developing

What do we give you in return? We provide you with a competitive salary, 35 days annual leave, health benefits, a pension plan, a generous range of benefits and job satisfaction with a real opportunity to make a difference every day.
