We are currently looking to recruit a residential workers based at Cauvin House. Cauvin House is a small residential Mother and Baby unit run by the Trust. It provides residential accommodation for a maximum of three young women aged 16 to 21 years and their babies. Cauvin House offers a nurturing place to help support young parents and their babies and provides an environment which safeguards and promotes child welfare. Mums and their babies have the opportunity to develop parenting and independent living skills, with assistance and advice from residential staff. Cauvin House works collaboratively with Social Work and all other key professionals including health.
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with a positive and flexible attitude and will actively promote equality, diversity, anti-discriminatory and non-judgemental practice. Good written and verbal communication is required.
The residential role involves a shift pattern over a six week rota, that requires weekend working, lone working and sleep ins.
The successful applicant will be required to register with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). The minimum educational requirements for this post is SCQF Level 7.
