Reanimate is a charity which is dedicated to helping both people and animals in need. We do this by rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing a safe “forever” home to animals that have not managed in mainstream care. Once they are restored to full mental and physical health, they then go on to help the people that come to us.

We work with a wide range of people and age groups. The service we provide is animal-integrated mentoring, which uses the therapeutic values of animals to guide people into learning new skills, improving self-confidence, and learning more about themselves.

Reanimate is based at Parkhead Farm just outside Bridge of Allan near Stirling.

Role- Reanimate is looking for a Secretary Trustee to join our Board.

Time Commitment

The Trustees meet four times a year to discuss general progress on the ground at Parkhead Farm, business development/income generation, marketing and communications, policy and governance issues. In addition, there may be one or two additional meetings on specific topics or events if the need arises. Between meetings, there will be a small amount of business conducted by email or through Facetime Business Group page.

There is a minimum of three Trustees and a maximum of eleven.

The Candidates

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for helping animals and people. We are looking for someone with administrative experience who will manage our Board meetings by organising dates, agenda and taking minutes. We also require this role to ensure all Reanimate policies and procedures are up to date and fit for purpose. Part of this role would involve being the charity’s Named Person for Disclosure Scotland PVGs. An empathetic understanding of issues relating to poverty, inequality and poor mental health would be useful and experience of working in the third sector would be beneficial but not essential. An introduction to the charity will be provided and visit to the site.

The role is voluntary and unpaid but we hope that working with Reanimate will be a rewarding experience, helping to support vulnerable people and animals in need.
