East Lothian Play Association (ELPA) facilitates and supports play in a range of different settings including spaces in local communities, in school playgrounds, parks, indoors and out. We run our own sessions as well as activities in partnership with other East Lothian organisations. ELPA promotes a culture of play in East Lothian and in 2020 was proud to receive an international award for our work to support children’s right to play during COVID-19. ELPA is a partner in two European play projects, one with a focus on Loose Parts Play, and is known for its creative and nimble approach and
We are currently growing our team of sessional Play Rangers and Playworkers to respond to demand for more play opportunities for all our children and young people. Our experienced and creative Play Team is keen to welcome new members and use the skills that people bring!
Sessional workers can be involved in our Play Rangers projects, delivering other sessions such as family sessions, playdays, and pop-up play using a Playwork approach. We can also use skills that contribute to ELPA’s training, development and communications activities.
ELPA is accepting applications for the role of Sessional Play Rangers and Playworkers.
