Do you have a passion for donor centred fundraising?
At Bethany we are committed to developing a relationship with our supporters, to understand why they are willing to invest in our work and what they expect to hear from us. We are looking for someone who has an engaging personality and who likes to communicate with people on a one-to-one level whether in person or through a written or digital medium. You must be able to write (yes – handwritten!) chatty personal notes to thank supporters for their gift and know how to engage with someone to build a relationship between them and Bethany.
This role encompasses Major giving, In Memory/In Celebration Giving and Legacy Giving. That means on occasion you will need to work sensitively alongside families who are giving a gift in memory of a loved one who has passed away. You will be establishing a legacy marketing strategy to develop Bethany’s legacy giving over the long term.
You will contribute to the development of appeal concepts for our 3 annual direct mail appeals and help acknowledge and process the income from those appeals at busy times.
Most of all we want someone who has a real passion for helping disadvantaged people, who believes everyone deserves a home and a right to contribute to society. We can offer a vibrant, fun team which has enjoyed significant success in the last 2 years and has a clear strategy for growth in the coming years. Bethany is a values driven organisation and those values are at the very heart of all we do.
