Advocacy & Patient Support Officer (West Scotland – Greater Glasgow)

  • Initially 15 hours per week with potential to become full time for the right candidate. Some evenings and/or weekend work will be required during the course of the job.


Kidney Care UK is the leading national charity working to improve quality of life for kidney patients through advocacy, direct grants, educating and informing patients, counselling and funding patient-centred research, healthcare professionals and projects. The charity was established over 40 years ago to address the many issues associated with kidney disease and kidney failure.

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, sensitive and professional individual who has excellent communication skills and the ability to work with patients, carers, health professionals and relevant health and community stakeholder groups. You should be a natural problem-solver, proactive in your approach and enjoy working with people.

The successful applicant will join our team of experienced Advocacy Officers. Full training will be provided, including Safeguarding. The position will be home-based; travel within the region will be required, once safe to do so. This opportunity may suit someone with kidney disease, a carer or family member, health professional or someone who has worked closely with people with long-term conditions.
