About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic individual to provide inspirational regional team leadership for designated Regional and Area Associations and local volunteers. In this role, you will drive the delivery of outstanding member benefits, sports, and leisure events at a local level using member insight gathered from local members.

Responsibilities:

At CSSC, we must ensure that our offer, both locally and nationally, provides our members with a great experience and enables them to do the things they love. To help us achieve this, you will:

• Support volunteers in delivering a regional and local programme aligned with CSSC's strategy, mission, vision, and values.

• Use the local member insight to deliver what our members are looking for, as well as introduce them to new opportunities and activities.

• Ensure adherence to operating processes, framework, and legislation.

• Enhance volunteer skills and experiences, celebrate volunteering, and attract new volunteers to CSSC.

• Collaborate with the Regional Chair and volunteers to monitor progress, attend local meetings, and evaluate the delivery of activities and events.

• Foster effective networking and collaboration across the team, champion best practice and seek out new ideas and ways of doing things.

• Attract, recruit, and induct new volunteers to ensure confidence and excellent service provision for our members.

• Ensure key volunteering roles have potential successors, retaining and developing the services and commitment of volunteers with CSSC.

EmilyTest is a small Scottish charity working to tackle gender based violence in education. We work with schools, colleges and universities, helping them to develop effective policies, procedures and practices in relation to gender based violence prevention, intervention and support.

Our aim is to ensure every young person can live, work and study free from the harms and threats of Gender Based Violence.

Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated GBV Charter Officer to join our dynamic and friendly team based in Glasgow. The GBV Charter Officer will play a key role in the delivery of the GBV Charter in universities and colleges across Scotland. Working with our Charter team, you will support roll-out and implementation of the Charter. Supporting charter universities and colleges in improving their policies, practices and procedures in relation to GBV prevention, intervention and support, helping them to meet each of the 42 minimum standards in the Charter. You will develop a customised plan for them and assist them on their journey of achieving the Charter award. Through building strong and trusting relationships with charter institutions you will provide efficient, effective and high-quality support.

The post will be subject to a 6 month trial period.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including objectives, activities, timelines in alignment with the Charter minimum standards.
• Provide regular updates and guidance for charter institutions, the team and the charity’s CEO. Reports should highlight achievements, challenges and suggested improvements.
• Maintain system to overview project dates/deadlines
• Progress report writing
• Plan and schedule (& where required attend) Charter surgeries, meetings, assessment meetings, and other Charter related events
• Liaise with colleges and universities and support Charter leads
• Further develop and enhance the ‘library of tools’ that supports Charter Institutions, ensuring a diverse set of resources is available to help them achieve Charter minimum standards
• Create, review and update Charter related guidance documents.
• Represent the organisation in relevant conferences and meetings.

Are you interested in providing a person-centred service that is responsive to the needs and interests of GP practice population who are at risk of/or experiencing homelessness and/or complex needs?

The ALLIANCE is recruiting a new Community Links Practitioner to join their team based in GP practices in Glasgow.

The post-holder will support individuals to identify issues that affect their ability to live well. Working collaboratively with the patient, the post holder will support them through decision making processes to help them decide upon the issues that they would like to address and help them to overcome any barriers to addressing these.

Using service improvement methodology, the Community Links Practitioner (H&CN) will support primary care teams to adopt a links approach. They will support existing staff and the wider CLW teams in becoming skilled in identifying services relating to housing/homelessness and complex needs.

The Community Links Practitioner (H&CN) will identify appropriate community resources related to homelessness and complex needs and facilitate relationships between these resources and the practice for the benefit of the patients. They will also build relationships and processes with statutory organisations, health services and voluntary organisations such as the Complex Needs Service, Homelessness Casework Team, Foodbanks, Money Advice Service, NHS services and charities.

The aim of the Community Links Worker Programme is to support people to live well through strengthening connections between community resources and primary care in deprived areas in Scotland.

This post is responsible for delivering activities within our Edinburgh Community Hub, and across other hubs as required and subject to the needs and demands of the project as guided by the Community Hubs Manager and CEO. If you are passionate about bicycles and cycling and have an interest in human rights and supporting disadvantaged groups, then this could be the job for you.

You will work on a variety of projects; repairing bikes, the co-ordination and support of volunteer bike mechanics, bike donations, distributions, and special projects and activities. Your main tasks will be associated with increasing our impact in the support of New Scots through improving workflow management, efficiency and increasing productivity in the repair and distribution of bikes to New Scots.

The post holder will maintain a good working knowledge of Bikes for Refugees programmes, policies and procedures, and maintain good working relationships with a variety of external stakeholders and partners.

You will have proven experience of working with bikes and a recognised bike mechanic qualification such as Velotech or Cytech (or equivalent experience). Experience of working with volunteers is required. Experience of working with refugees/asylum seekers and/or other disadvantaged groups would be advantageous. A good working knowledge of IT and computer skills is essential. You will be proactive in the co-ordination and safe delivery of activities and ensure the smooth running of the workshop/hub. You will be an effective communicator with staff, volunteers, New Scots and partners.
