Action on Smoking and Health Scotland (ASH Scotland) is the independent Scottish health charity working for a Scotland free from the harm and inequality caused by tobacco.
We are at a critical time for Scotland’s public health. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted stark health inequalities and statistics show that in our most hard-pressed communities, a huge 32% of people smoke (compared to 6% in more affluent areas).
Things need to change.
The upcoming Scottish elections and the new Scottish Government offer an opportunity to start improving lives in communities.
Do you want to help us push that change?
We are recruiting for a fixed term Policy and Public Affairs Officer to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months. If you have public affairs and policy experience, we’d love you to join our team at an exciting time. There is much to play for.
