North Lanarkshire Carers Together pledges to improve the lives of carers within North Lanarkshire by actively linking carers and professionals in meaningful working relationships to influence policy development and service provision, which affect carers and the people they care for.

We are the campaigning, information and carer representation organisation for unpaid carers in North Lanarkshire. We work in partnership with Health and Social Care North Lanarkshire and other community and voluntary organisations, to ensure that unpaid carers are informed of their rights and are aware of the range of services that can support them in their caring role. In response to carers’ needs, we are now recruiting an Advocacy Co-ordinator to develop and deliver a new independent advocacy service for adult carers in North Lanarkshire.

If you have proven experience in the field of independent advocacy, have an understanding of the issues facing unpaid carers and would relish the challenge of helping to shape a new service for and with carers, then we are interested in hearing from you.

If you would wish to discuss any aspect of the post please email Colin Smith with contact details.

The post is for a fixed term to 31st March 2023, however there may be the opportunity to continue the post subject to further funding.

The post will be subject to an Enhanced PVG Disclosure.
