What Is the Role?
Our vision for VSS is a truly person-centred organisation that meets the needs of all victims and witnesses and uses its evidence and insight to influence stakeholders to develop and deliver best practice in supporting victims and witnesses of crime across the justice system. This role is critical to that vision, leading the organisation’s work in policy development, communications, research and evidence, stakeholder engagement and fundraising.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and reporting into the Chief Executive Officer you will lead on building our strategy, communications, policy, research, evaluation, and impact function, ensuring our work is informed by evidence, data and insights.
You will provide professional and people leadership, giving direction and support to all staff within your areas of responsibility. As a leader within the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT), you have a wider leadership responsibility to engage with, and support positively, all organisational initiatives.
Working with the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team, you will work on strategic and operational issues facing Victim Support Scotland, providing key direction and expertise for the organisation. You will deputise for the CEO as and when required.
You will develop and implement a sector leading external-facing corporate communications and public affairs strategy, building influential and impactful relationships with government, funding agencies and other charity and media partners
You will have responsibility for leading the management of strategic reviews, planning processes and impact analysis.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of leading high performing teams and an ability to translate strategy into delivery.

What Is the Role?
As a member of the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) and reporting directly to the Director of Service Delivery, you will be responsible for ensuring, within your area of responsibility, that VSS’s strategic objectives are being met, You will have a key role in developing future strategies and initiatives, primarily but not limited to volunteering, that ensure that people affected by crime are supported when, where and how they choose, regardless of where in Scotland they live.
You will have responsibility for all aspects of planning in your area, including staff and volunteers and ensuring that they are skilled, confident, and capable and have everything they need to enable them to effectively support people affected by crime.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
We are looking for someone that has strong leadership experience within a charity or volunteering involvement organisation.
You will possess proven project management skills and excel in both written and presentation abilities. You will have experience of internal and external relationship-building crucial for organisational goals.

What Is the Role?

The primary purpose of this post is a leadership role responsible for the development and use of data, research, and insight at Victim Support Scotland.
You will lead in designing, commissioning, management, and dissemination of all the research as well as analysing findings to present them appropriately and effectively, including for our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Board.
You will champion the role of an effective data service in delivering our strategic outcomes. Working across the organisation, you will promote an evidence-based culture across Victim Support Scotland.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
You will possess excellent quantitative and/or qualitative research skills, with a keen eye for detail, meticulousness, and accuracy.
While demonstrating outstanding organisational and planning abilities, including proficiency in program, resource, and performance management. Exhibiting excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms, along with a track record of effective external relationship management.
Proficient in presenting information visually to non-experts. Capable of designing, developing, and utilizing appropriate methods and tools to support high-quality research. Strong people management skills, including the ability to develop and motivate colleagues.

What is the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Support Co-ordinator , working 20 hours per week.
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in between hours of 8am - 8pm
Primary location: Lanark Sheriff Court, however you will be expected to cover all areas of Lanarkshire (Hamilton court, Airdrie court, Lanark court, Motherwell) locality as well as Paisley court and community.
Reporting directly to a Locality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring, within your Service(s), that VSS’s local service development and delivery plan is being implemented within your geographical area(s). Service delivery is provided by a team of skilled and knowledgeable volunteers, you will be responsible for planning their deployment to ensure that the service delivered meets the desired outcomes of victims and witnesses of crime, our service users. Responsible for all aspects of a volunteer engagement with VSS at your services, including recruitment, induction, learning and development, ongoing performance management and support. Contributing to business planning and co-ordination ensuring that continuous learning takes place to monitor that the outcomes of service users are being met.

What you’ll need to be successful
We are looking for someone who is experienced in a similar role and can evidence of continuing professional development, effective leadership style, able to build confidence, motivate and improve performance. Analytical skills, must be able to understand, collect, analyse, report and present data. The ability to challenge stereotyping, prejudice, discrimination and bias. Good working knowledge of the voluntary/charity sector is required, as is a willingness to be flexible in working hours and able to travel as required.
