An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an outreach, intensive support service, which will be run jointly with East Ayrshire Council. This will initially be for one year, although it is hoped that this will be extended by East Ayrshire Council at the end of this period.
The position will be an intensive support role based within the East Ayrshire area and supporting service users referred by East Ayrshire Council who may be in other temporary accommodation or in their own tenancy where this intense support may prevent them from losing this accommodation.
The service users will come from the harder to engage group and be case managed by East Ayrshire Council whilst intensely supported by BTHA.
You should be a highly motivated and experienced support worker with the skills to hit the ground running and manage a small case load of 5 people at any one time. This is a great opportunity to further develop your skills and experience.
The posts will be 17.5 hours per week and although it may mainly be working within office hours you must have the flexibility to work in the evenings if and when required and on occasional weekend’s dependant on service user’s needs.
If successful, you will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of your start date. After registration, there is a requirement to be qualified and to maintain professional learning.
