Prostate Scotland, Scotland’s prostate disease charity is looking for an enthusiastic Communications and Supporter Care Administrator to help us in our communications, supporter care and fundraising. Prostate Scotland is a busy active charity working across Scotland to inform, support and advance on prostate cancer and disease. You will play an important role in helping to look after our supporters and fundraisers, assisting with our communications and sending out merchandise to people supporting the charity.

This role will involve:

•Providing support to and administering local level giving and liaising with fundraisers in taking forward activities in aid of Prostate Scotland

•Supporting active fundraisers throughout their fundraising journey

•Administering donations and assisting with communications to supporters

•Helping on the development of fundraising and marketing materials and plans to promote Prostate Scotland’s work

•Ensuring that we have up-to-date information on our Customer Relationship Management System.

•Developing, sourcing, managing and dispatching stocks of branded fundraising merchandise and sending these out to our supporters

•Assisting with the co-ordination and development of communications activity with supporters and service users as part of communications and supporter care team

•Assisting with writing content for social media and website.

Your good people skills will assist us in working with local fundraisers and supporters to help develop fundraising for Prostate Scotland in communities and in events across the Scotland. You will also have the opportunity to attend and represent Prostate Scotland at local fundraising and supporter external events.

This new post will play an important role in supporting the charity’s communications and fundraising by providing support to and administering local level giving and donations and fundraising events and liaising with fundraisers in taking forward activities in aid of prostate Scotland. The role also will involve helping administer donations and assisting with communications with supporters, along with helping on the development of fundraising materials and plans to promote Prostate Scotland’s work.

Good administrative, IT and digital skills will be important. Prior knowledge of prostate cancer and disease is not required (though helpful) and training about this will be provided.

Occasional travel in Scotland will be required. Management of the post will be from the charity’s Communications and Supporter Care Manager. The post is available on a two-year contract.

This is a vital and exciting role that will allow the award winning fundraising team at Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) to rethink and change how we use the CRM and the associated processes as we look ahead to the next decade of fundraising.

This multi-disciplinary role will work as part of a small team providing specialist technical expertise to manage the CRM development. You will be responsible for reviewing all existing CRM process to ensure they are appropriate for the new system as well as managing the implementation of integrations with the CRM and third party applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and development of existing processes to support the growth ambitions of CHAS and align with the move to an updated version of our current CRM.
• Research, propose and develop changes to policies, services and processes
• Train and support colleagues in the move to our updated CRM
• As a process improvement expert you have freedom to act to address issues identified without reference to line manager working within change control and risk management mechanisms

About you

You will have knowledge of fundraising CRMs and experience in process analysis and change. You will be an excellent project manager and communicator with a proven track record in managing system integration projects.

• Experience in implementation as a functional lead, CRM and fundraising systems or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience of process analysis, process improvement and resolving complex issues
• Highly effective team working skills, with an ability to collaborate with others and develop strong and effective working relationships across an organisation

About Eczema Outreach Support

Eczema Outreach Support (EOS) is a UK-wide charity supporting children and young people with eczema and their families. Originally set up in Scotland in 2011, we now have over 4,000 member families living across the UK.

At EOS, we want every child with eczema to thrive. We believe that having eczema should not – and will not - stop children's ambitions and dreams. By providing direct practical advice and emotional support to whole families, we empower young people to take back control of their health and break isolation. Our goal is for every child with eczema to know they are not alone.

We deliver a range of activities including one-to-one support via phone & email, we deliver face-to-face events and online activities, such as our virtual High Five Club for kids aged 3-10 and tailored support for teenagers. We also work directly with schools, as well as creating and sharing informative social media content on eczema. We also support families on a wider scale by inputting into eczema research, taking part in clinical networks and raising awareness of the impact of the condition on families’ lives. About the Role

Our Business Support Officer will provide vital support across a range of areas including finance, administration and IT so EOS can deliver high quality support to families. You would be the main office contact for EOS which would include periods of lone working. This is a diverse and interesting opportunity to bring your organisational and problem-solving skills and play a key role in our small and passionate team.

We have an exciting opening in our Fundraising team for a Community and Events Fundraiser.

You will be responsible for coordinating events and community activities and maximising the income generated from those events as well as by those organised by supporters, volunteers and organisations.

You will support the fundraising team to inspire, develop and co-ordinate increased involvement from supporters, managing new and existing relationships with volunteers, donors, organisations and partners.

Responsible for but not limited to:

• Lead our flagship events with a proactive approach to ensure their success.
• Developing a community and events fundraising plan that will achieve agreed income targets in line with the overall fundraising strategy, review and update this on an ongoing basis.
• Play a leading role in growing event fundraising through externally organised challenge events, established Leuchie organised events and to develop proposals for new events which have the potential to grow and develop.
• Lead and cultivate in growing community fundraising activity and income through supporter-led fundraising, local groups and organisations.
• Leading on the design and distribution of events promotional communications, media and materials, and collaborate with colleagues to co-ordinate these within the parameters of overall Leuchie communication plans.

About you:

Qualifications

• Educated to SCQF level 6 in English and Mathematics, or through equivalent work experience.
• Driving licence or the ability to travel independently to fundraising events.

Knowledge and Experience

• Proven experience of generating income through community and event planning including organisation and delivery.
• Experience of successfully recruiting participants, supporters, and/or volunteers for events and fundraising activities.
• Experience of growing external financial support through excellent stewardship.
• Knowledge of the community, including externally organised events which have the potential to generate income, and local organisations and companies which offer potential funding sources.

Skills

• Ability to use Microsoft Office and fundraising databases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking.
• Ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
• Ability and experience in developing and implementing promotional plans.
