The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Research Assistant to support our Research Team in Glasgow. This is a full time fixed term post to 31 July 2022.

This exciting Research Assistant role will support the delivery of large-scale research and learning programmes, primarily the Barnardo’s Mental Health and Wellbeing evaluation programme, work with the wider research team on a range of research programmes and enhance dissemination of research and knowledge by facilitating learning events using online platforms and technologies.
What does the role involve?
· To support the undertaking of research, evaluation and learning activities that support the delivery of a range of large-scale mental health programmes, including the Barnardo’s Health and Wellbeing evaluation.
· To support the undertaking of evaluation and research activities (primary and secondary) with the research team and employ appropriate research methodologies.
· To support the dissemination of research knowledge through contributing to sections of written reports and materials and carrying out administrative activities related to face-to-face and online learning events.
· To assist development and delivery of organisational objectives by providing insight from research and evaluation and working with internal and external stakeholders to pursue these objectives.
· To work with team members to contribute to the production of research project plans, including agreed objectives, outcomes and measures, deliverables, and milestones, and leading on smaller sections of project plans as appropriate.
· To assist in reporting back to partners and funders on progress of projects as required throughout the life of the project, and on conclusion of the project.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
· Demonstrable experience of conducting research and evaluation including using mixed methods of data collection and analysis.
· Evidenced successful strong written communication skills with experience of producing clear reports and articles for a range of audiences
· Demonstrable understanding of the principles of research and evaluation design.
· Demonstrable understanding of the impact of inequalities and adversity on mental health and wellbeing.
