Role
The Haven is looking for a full-time manager to head a dynamic management team in leading the execution of The Haven’s strategy in close collaboration with the Board of Trustees. The Haven is a Christian charity providing a faith-based residential rehabilitation programme for men with alcohol or drug addictions at its purpose-built 18-bed facility near Kilmacolm.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader, acting as an ambassador for the Haven, implementing effective governance and risk management, developing excellent relationships with all stakeholders, driving operational improvements, delivering financial sustainability, and ensuring excellence in quality of service. The manager will embody the Christian ethos and values of the Haven and develop a diverse and high quality staff team in governance, operational performance, people management, health and safety compliance, and excellence in social care according to health and social care standards.

Substance Use Recovery Development Team Leader

We are seeking a part time Team Leader who is passionate and enthusiastic about recovery and who has a good track record in promoting successful recovery development work, peer support and community development initiatives.
A self-starter, and a highly skilled communicator, you will be pivotal in developing good links between treatment & support services, North Lanarkshire Recovery Community (NLRC) and aftercare provision. Employed by Recovery Scotland, you will be comfortable in working with a range of stakeholders to develop and champion a robust recovery orientated system of care that has peer development at its heart.
Length of contract: Initially to 31 March 2026, thereafter to be determined primarily by the availability of funding and the performance of the post holder.
You will:
- Have a recognised professional qualification at a minimum of SVQ level 4
- Have a demonstrable experience in managing a dedicated staff team
- Have a good understanding of and familiarity with what works to promote and sustain recovery
- Be successful in providing evidence-based recovery interventions, and
- Have an ability to work flexibly and creatively in motivating, supporting and developing people in recovery

FASS has been working on the frontline, supporting people through their issues with misuse and on to better lives for over 40 years now. Our many services range from therapeutic counselling to practical support, and we help individuals, their families and communities Fife-wide.

- public health, Alcohol and Drugs Partnerships or alcohol service provision research and or policy development in a relevant field (e.g. alcohol or commercial determinants of health, alcohol marketing)
- public affairs or campaigns
- the impact of alcohol on children, young people and families
- business development and delivery of training to external stakeholders
Governance:
- finance and fundraising
- charity and organisational governance (incl. human resources, equality and diversity, health and safety, data protection)
- legal knowledge relevant to AFS’s objectives (e.g. licensing law)

Clued Up has an exciting opportunity to join our existing core team of staff providing a comprehensive “youth friendly” substance use support and information service for young people 12 - 26 years in the Glenrothes and North East area of Fife. Providing one to one support, group work programmes, street work, partnership working and supporting the existing Project Workers.
