Role

This is an exciting opportunity be part of a team working alongside families, building strong relationships and achieving positive outcomes.

As a member of the Glasgow Supporting Families Team, you’ll be linked to a local primary school (John Paul 2 Primary, Castlemilk), four days a week delivering an embedded family support service. We work alongside teachers to understand the issues affecting their pupils and what we can do to help raise children’s overall educational attainment, health and wellbeing. This post will have a specific emphasis on parental engagement and positive partnership working with parents to identify their needs and help them ensure their children get the best out of school.

This a fixed term, part time role of 28 hours per week. Hours to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the service and the school (evenings and occasional weekends as required)

If you have experience of working with children and their families and have an SVQ Level 3/ HNC or equivalent in Child Care/Social Care or related area, accredited counselling qualification, or other relevant qualification at SCQF level 7 then… we want to hear from you.
