Glasgow Association for Mental Health is one of the principal providers of community mental health services in Greater Glasgow. GAMH is committed to the principles of recovery and raising awareness and understanding of mental health issues.
We have been awarded a 3 year grant by The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver a Young Adult Wellbeing Service (YAWS). This service will support the mental wellbeing of young people aged 16-25 experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. YAWS will support the delivery of mental health and wellbeing group sessions (digital and face to face) to enable young people to be connected and socially active in the community.
We wish to appoint an individual who has experience of research and evaluation and is familiar with youth work setting and interventions. You will demonstrate a genuine commitment to working with young people from diverse groups and a commitment to equalities.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the values and attitude required to work with people who are living with mental health problems and who may have complex needs.
Knowledge of the SSSC’s Codes of Practice and the National Care Standards and how this framework applies to practice is preferred for all posts. A qualification at SVQ2 or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards achieving this qualification is essential.
All applicants must be able to work flexibly; some early morning, evening and weekend working will be required. Full induction and training will be provided.
