Alzheimer Scotland are looking for an experienced and qualified counsellor.
The opportunity will work as part of our Glasgow Younger Persons Support Service. The focus of this role will be to provide counselling support for people with a younger onset dementia and their carers and families.
The post will initially be home based, once the public health restrictions are lifted we would expect the position to be based in our Bridgeton Dementia Resource Centre.
This is an exciting roles which requires a degree of flexibility and an ability to work on own initiative.
Successful applicants must have a recognised Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and be a member of the BACP or suitable equivalent professional body. You will have a positive approach to dementia. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills, a caring attitude and ability to plan and organise. A willingness to learn and participate in training is essential. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with carers will be an advantage.
