Role

Community regeneration, employability and training organisation, Stirling Community Enterprise Limited, and our parent Charity Raploch Urban Regeneration Company Limited are looking to welcome two new members to our Board of Trustees / Company Directors as we prepare to support the residents of Stirling to recover from the impacts of COVID.

We are looking to identify two enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for creating sustainable change in terms of economic, social and physical wellbeing for our Stirling wide community.

Positions available are on a voluntary basis.

What we are looking for

We are looking for passionate individuals who can give commitment and time to enable our Charity to meet the increasing demand for support as our country emerges from the pandemic. We are keen that our Board represents a diverse range of backgrounds, interests, and life experiences.

If you are passionate about ensuring everyone has the chance to progress in life and achieve their potential, then please get in touch. Whilst we welcome applications from all who feel they can make a positive contribution to our charitable activities, out Board is particularly keen to hear from those with experience in the following areas:

  • Finance and Accounting – Experience working at a strategic level in Finance with a sound knowledge of long-term financial planning.
  • Social Enterprise – Strategic level experience of working within a Social Enterprise, understanding of legal structures and experience of developing or overseeing grant funded projects.

What is involved?

As a Charitable Trustee and member of the Board of Company Directors, you would be instrumental in guiding the strategic future of the Charity and its trading subsidiary.

Directors will be expected to attend around 10 meetings per year, including 4 – 5 full board meetings and interim subgroup meetings. We expect Board members to participate in the majority of meetings either in person or via video conferencing.

Directors may at times be asked to play a role in the operation of the charity and trading company by attending events and speaking to the media, depending on the trustee’s particular skills and interests.
