The Teapot Trust is looking for a new trustee, someone to be the strategic voice of fundraising on the Board. Our CEO is an experienced and inspiring fundraiser herself; what we need is a trustee to enhance the Board, contributing to a development strategy which secures the revenue we need to grow as a charity. If you have significant strategic fundraising experience and, preferably, Board experience too, we would love to hear from you. This is a voluntary role and is not about operational support or a significant time commitment. The Board meets bi-monthly and we would also ask you to join our Fundraising Subcommittee. All trustees are invited to help “open doors” by using their valuable contacts and we would hope you would do the same. Most importantly, all trustees believe in improving the mental health of young people through art therapy and creative interventions.
The Teapot Trust has a vacancy. If you have strategic fundraising experience and skills and are looking for a stimulating and rewarding role as a charity trustee, we would love to hear from you. Teapot Trust is celebrating its 10th anniversary and has exciting plans for the future. We use art therapy and other creative interventions to help support children and young people with long term physical and mental health conditions, and we know this work really helps build resilience and self-confidence. COVID-19 has knocked all charities this year, but Teapot Trust was quick to move online and this has been a catalyst for change and new opportunities. We are proud to have been able to continue supporting children and their families during this crisis and have developed a Recovery Plan to help us grow in 2021 and beyond.
The Teapot Trust Board comprises seven trustees at present, including our Founder. We take our roles of charity governance, financial oversight and strategic direction seriously and our trustees bring a range of strengths to our collective decision-making. As a lean, ambitious and dynamic charity, there are always interesting ideas and issues to scrutinise. The Board currently meets every two months and trustees are usually also involved in a subcommittee. Trustees, our team of five staff and the art therapists who work with us are all committed to supporting and enriching the lives of as many children as possible. Fundraising is obviously our critical activity and we hope to find a trustee who can contribute to shaping our future.
