We are seeking to appoint a Youth Worker based at the North Berwick Youth Project to work with children and young people from North Berwick and the surrounding area.
We seek someone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, approachable, flexible, organised and committed to making a difference. You will have relevant youth work experience and the ability to plan and deliver youth work programmes.
The post is for one year and funded through North Berwick Trust.

Exciting new opportunities have arisen for new Trustees to join Open Door Accommodation Project.

The Board are responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organisation to deliver the charitable objectives. As a member of the Board of Trustees you will be responsible for ensuring the effective oversight and governance within the organisation for the benefit of the vulnerable young people we support.
Open Door have an experienced management team who are responsible for the day-to-day management and service delivery of the organisation’s support staff. The Board will be responsible for the supervision of the Chief Executive to take overall responsibility for the organisation, acting collectively and effectively in its interests by giving strategic direction and determining our mission and vision. The Board make decisions required for assurance and management of the organisation, ensuring compliance, good governance and adequate financial resources for our services whilst protecting our assets and property. The Board also ensure we manage risks carefully, as a responsible employer and uphold the principles of equality and diversity.
Board meetings are held on a monthly to six weekly basis, typically in the evening.

The Project Worker role provides an opportunity to be part of Rock Trust’s well established Supported Accommodation Project, supporting homeless and care experienced young people to develop independent living skills and transition to permanent accommodation.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who will be responsible for:
- Building trusting relationships with young people
- Developing high quality support plans alongside young people
- Providing emotional, social and practical support to assist young people to develop independent living skills
- Maintaining Rock Trust properties to a high standard
- Working in a psychologically and trauma informed manner

To be considered for the role, you will have experience at a leadership level in devising and executing strategy, senior relationship management, securing resources and shaping services and programmes to meet the charity’s objects, reflecting Venture Trust’s mission and values. We are looking for three enthusiastic Youth Workers to join our dynamic and fast paced learning and development team.
You will join our team to deliver a programme of work funded by our partners CYCJ to work with young people 16-25 with experience of the care and justice systems to produce some guidance for the Whole Systems Approach.

Established in 1998, Staf (Scottish Throughcare and Aftercare Forum) is a membership organisation of frontline practitioners and managers working with young people leaving care. Staf is a national charity which represents all 32 local authorities in Scotland and over 40 independent organisations. At the centre of all our work is giving a voice to care experienced young people and pushing for change that will allow them to live happy successful lives on their own terms.
Main Functions of Role:
You will support the development of activities which enable CEP young people to share their experiences of WSA and to identify recommendations for change. You will help to create more opportunities for young people to be heard and be involved in the co-production of Whole Systems Approach guidance
Person Specification:
1. Passion about the issues that young people face in the care and justice systems.
2. Recent experience of being looked after and/ or in the justice system.
3. Experience of working directly with children and young people, individually and in groups.
4. Knowledge of the care and/ or justice system in Scotland.
