Could you provide mentoring support and guidance to all participants on the programme aiming to increase their confidence, skills and experience and to attain and sustain viable self- employment? Can you ensure that programme clients who are existing self-employed are also able to grow their business revenues. You should be able to self-manage your own workload and have an ability to support your colleagues. You should have good interpersonal skills as well as excellent digital skills. The New Enterprise Allowance (NEA) is aimed at supporting DWP claimants start their own business. In addition, it also provides business growth support to those existing self-employed who are still claiming benefits and where their business now needs a business review.

The main scheme provides initial mentoring support and financial assistance in the form of a weekly benefit or allowance. This post is intended to provide the mentoring role required for the primary programme in assisting in the production of a business plan. As well as this primary cohort group you will also support existing self-employed to ensure that a Business Growth Development Action Plan is produced for these customers. The role holder will need to assist in achieving the maximum impact in terms of the client’s company reaching full growth potential to an agreed level in an agreed time.

You will provide mentoring support and guidance to all participants on the programme aiming to increase their confidence, skills and experience and to attain and sustain viable self- employment. You will also ensure that programme clients who are existing self-employed are also able to grow their business revenues. All such services will be implemented to Quality Standards, with fair and equal opportunity for all concerned and will be carried out in a healthy and safe environment and in a positive manner suitable to all learners needs.

The post holder should be able to self-manage their own workload and have an ability to support their colleagues. They should have good interpersonal skills as well as excellent digital skills are also a key requirement
