Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our committed and focussed team. The Self Directed Support (SDS) Forum has been supporting and developing the implementation of Self Directed Support in East Renfrewshire since 2011. We are an extremely ambitious charitable organisation with national links and real partnerships with the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and fellow third sector organisations in our area and wider.

You must have work experience in the field of Health and Social Care and it is essential that you are familiar with the Self Directed Support Act 2013 and the Scottish Government Legislation for SDS. You must be willing to learn and understand the local SDS policy and practice and be able to work well with all our partners. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic towards continued development in this area. An SVQ Level 6 or HNC/HND in Health & Social Care is required.

You must have excellent communication skills, report writing and IT skills. Experience working with people who have additional needs is desired, including individuals with communication impairments. It is essential that you have experience in contributing in a professional way within the multi-disciplinary network and are able to represent our clients when doing so.

Teamwork is at the core of all our service provision and is imperative to the strategic growth of our organisation. We require someone who is flexible and has the ability to adapt to any changes in delivery of service. This includes evening work occasionally, however the core hours of work are throughout Monday to Friday between 8.45am and 4.45pm. Part time hours to be agreed and ideally will be over 5 days.
