Key areas of responsibility:We have a new and exciting role for an Education Support Assistant to be based mainly in Irvine and throughout North Ayrshire.

The successful candidate will provide administrative and general support for the development and delivery of locally based adult education provision, member development and volunteer support with specific responsibility for the Syrian New Scots Employability Project.

Reporting to the Management & Governance Officer, the post holder will work closely with Education Coordinators and a range of stakeholders which are likely to include Association staff, local community organisations, Association branches and volunteers.

About you:

Our students come from every walk of life, and we want to be as diverse as they are, so we are keen to hear from candidates from minority backgrounds. However, it is not about where you have come from so much as what you can contribute: we need someone with great organisational and event management skills, a strong administrative background and the highest standard of IT knowledge. Needless to say, you will be self-motivated, team-spirited and very flexible, and you will share our passion for education as a tool of transformation.
