Role

Collective Advocacy Worker – BAME mental health

Collective Advocacy Worker – LGBT+ mental health

CAPS is looking for two Collective Advocacy workers for two new collective advocacy projects to ensure the voices of BAME people and LGBT+ people can influence mental health services in Edinburgh.

Direct experience of the issues faced by these community groups is essential and applications are welcomed by people from these communities. Each post is 16 hours a week - setting up and facilitating these projects: engaging and communicating with people from these communities. Contributing to current experience-led training and awareness raising sessions offered by CAPS through our Education as Advocacy project – LEARN, is another aspect of each of these posts.

You can read more about CAPS on our website: capsadvocacy.org

These posts will be subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and appropriate check.
